Lance Tangen, age 24 Plainview, MN
Lance Tangen, age 24 from Plainview MN has been involved in the outdoors since calling in his first turkeys at the age of four. An accomplished competitive turkey caller, Lance has four MN state junior division turkey calling titles and has competed twice at the prestigious Grand National contest. When he’s not “strutting his stuff" on stage, Lance spends many hours in the field pursuing deer and turkey. As a Field Pro Staff member for Hunter’s Specialties Lance has had several of his turkey hunts featured on their “Cutt’n and Strutt’n” video series. While he enjoys a few minutes in front of the camera, his true passion has been filming and working behind the camera. Having hunted and filmed deer and turkey in over fifteen states his latest work has been with In Pursuit with Greg Miller coming June 2008 to The Outdoor Channel. This entertaining and educational show features deer hunting from across North America. With his experiences in the outdoors Lance has transferred his knowledge by pen to several magazines and newspapers including, North American Whitetail, MN Sportsmen, Mathews Bowhunting Whitetails and the Post Bulletin out of Rochester, MN. When not in the woods Lance takes time to teach others about the outdoors and assists organizations dedicated to conservation. |
